I am hoping to get some advise on a used (approx 100 hours) JD4200 MFWD w/420 loader with Hydro trans and R4 tires. The dealer is asking $14500. What do you think? Is it unreasonable?

Ran across your post looking for 4200 w/47 backhoe comments.

For what it's worth, I just bought a clean 2002 4200 with 420 loader and 413 cutter, 25 hrs, for $14,500 from an individual. Seemed worth it to me. Will be interesting to see what others think. ....

That sounds like a very reasonable deal to me. Depending on the year and condition of the tractor alone, its value could be around $14,000. The rest is gravy. ....
